The War of Tyrants
There haven’t been many wars in the worlds history, but there have been some. The Great War, now known as the War of Tyrants, was waged between Delvous the Usurper and Vietrick the Maruader. The two seemed never destined to meet, but fate has a way of twisting things around. As Delvous continued his campaign in Myrivia, Vietrick took notice. Fearing a power equivalent to his own, Vietrick had a wall erected at the continental border of Vermael, and sent his military to Myrivia. There were several battles over the nineteen year war, pitting the savage training of Vietrick’s army against the far superior numbers of Delvous’. Eventually, Delvous succeeded in turning back the army and, in 1732, the war ended. However, neither force was finished with wars. As Delvous continued his campaign in Myrivia, the countries of Herth and Ferros waged a civil war against Vermael. Together with the forces of Treno, Tryme, and Poosh, the Vermael army was defeated, and Herth and Ferros were free.
History is written by the winners, it is said, and so it was here. Delvous’ greedy nature was ignored, and, due to him weakening the army enough for Herth and Ferros to win their freedom, Delvous was deemed a hero, and Vietrick and Vermael suffered from a horrid reputation.
